Lindsay Lind

Funeral Directors Apprentice

Lindsay graduated from Vermilion High School in 2007. She attended the University of Mount Union and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education and a minor in psychology in 2011. Lindsay is currently finishing up her second year of the Funeral Director Apprenticeship program.

Lindsay looks forward to serving families while creating a meaningful ceremony to honor the life and memory of their loved ones.

  • He has a son Thomas and stepson Sean Field (Marcy)
  • Grandfather of 5 and Great Grandfather of 1.
  • Tim is a proud 1965 graduate of West Tech High School.
  • Graduated in 1969 from the Cleveland Police Academy and served in various districts and units. He retired from the Cleveland Police Department in 1995.

He has been a dedicated member of A. Ripepi & Sons Funeral Home since August of 2006.

Former member of the North Ridgeville Lions Club, Planning Commission and Board of Zoning Appeals.

Founding member of the A Team

His hobbies are golfing here in Cleveland area and in Florida, watching all sporting events, going to the casino and spending time with family and friends

Michael W. Tellings

Michael W. Tellings

Funeral Directors Assistant

Mike was born and raised in Brooklyn, Ohio and is a proud 1977 graduate of Brooklyn High School. He spent his adult life in Parma, and took numerous college courses for Law Enforcement. He retired from the Parma Police Department after 33 years as a Traffic Officer, and 25 years as a dedicated member of their SWAT Unit. He’s been with our funeral home, since 2017 as an assistant and funeral escort.

  • Proud father of 3 daughters and 3 grandchildren

His hobbies include:

John C. Desmarteau

John joined the A. Ripepi and Sons Funeral Home staff in January 2022 after retiring from the fire service.  He takes pride and receives great satisfaction helping families navigate through the difficult times in their lives.

 FIRE SERVICE CAREER:

·        Hired by the Seven Hills Fire Department in May 1985 while he was attending Cleveland State University.  

·        After graduating from Cleveland State University with a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in 1986, Seven Hills Fire Department enrolled him in Parma Community General Hospital’s Paramedic Program which he graduated from in November 1987.

·        John decided to make the fire service his new career choice getting hired by the Parma Heights Fire Department in November 1987 as a firefighter / paramedic where he served for four years until November 1991.

·        Looking for better career opportunities, John took additional civil service exams and was hired by the Middleburg Heights Fire Department as a firefighter / paramedic in November, 1991.

  •          John retired from the Middleburg Heights Fire Department on July 2, 2021
  •        Parishioner of Saint Columbkille Parish in Parma for six decades.

·        Member of North Eastern Ohio Fire Prevention Association since 2002 serving on their Executive Board as Secretary, Vice President, President, and Past President.

·        FAMILY & HOBBIES:

·        Father of three children: John (wife Kayla, son Jude), James (fiancé Caylie), and stepdaughter Stacy Suhay (husband Matthew, son Brycen, daughter Brinn). 

·        John enjoys going to or watching Cleveland sports especially the Guardians, Cavaliers, and Browns.  In his free time he likes to bike ride and walk in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park and Cleveland Metroparks.

John Zone

John Zone

Funeral Directors Assistant

John Zone was born and raised on the west side of Cleveland, the second of 4 children.
  • He is a very proud graduate of Saint Ignatius High School, Class of 1969. 
  • After graduation, he attended CSU and transferred to the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science.  While there, he was elected President of Pi Sigma Eta, the national embalmer's fraternity.
  • Upon returning to Cleveland, he successfully obtained his license as both an embalmer and funeral director.
  • Three months after graduation from CCMS, he married Chris (nee Fejes), his high school sweetheart. 
  • Together, they have raised 3 daughters and have 5 grandchildren.
  • After working in the funeral industry, he transitioned to pharmaceutical sales and management, specializing in cardiac medicine, for 45 years, most of it spent with Abbott Laboratories/Abbvie, where he distinguished himself with several sales awards.
  • He and Chris live in North Royalton where they are active parishioners at Saint Albert the Great. Often you will find him on the altar serving Mass, as a Eucharistic Minister or doing readings as a Lector.
He has been with A Ripepi and Sons Funeral Home as a Funeral Director's assistant for 5 years, enjoying the opportunity to return to his passion assisting families at the time of need
