Ronald G. Campbell

RONALD G. CAMPBELL, age 80. Beloved husband of Veronica (nee Gaughan). Loving and devoted father of Kevin (Pamela), Keith (Cynthia), Brian (Tammy), Cathryn Rock and Adam Probert (Melissa). Cherished grandfather of 9. Dear brother of Donald (Patricia), Rene Blalock (James) (both deceased) and Keith (deceased) (Debra). Also survived by nieces, nephews and many dear friends.

Ron and Ronnie were happily married for 17 years with a blended family of 5 children and 9 grandchildren.  Ron was extremely proud of his sons, Kevin, Keith, Brian and his stepchildren Adam and Cathy.  He was also extremely proud of his Grandchildren, Kyle, Kory, Tyler, Morgan, Faith, Makayla, Oliver, Julian and Devin.  Ron served honorably with the United States Coast Guard for 41 years as Master Chief Petty Officer Yeoman. He also had two honorable careers with 29 years on the Cleveland Division of Police and 17 years with the Cuyahoga County Sheriff’s Office. His career with the Cleveland Police Department had him serve in the Ports and Harbor Unit, Personnel Unit, Chief’s Office, Communications, Accident Investigation Unit, the Mounted Unit, the Traffic Unit and Retired as Sergeant on June 9, 1994.  Ron was very involved in many different organizations from District Commander of the Greater Cleveland Council, Boy Scouts of America; the Retired Irish Police; the Greater Cleveland Police Emerald Society, the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 8, Cleveland Police Pipes and Drums, Financial Secretary of the Ohio Police Benevolent Association, and Drum Major of the Red Hackle Pipes and Drums.

  In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. U.S. Coast Guard Veteran, retired Seargant with the Cleveland Police Dept., and Cuyahoga County Sheriff Deputy. Celebration of Life Service Monday May 15, 2023 at the funeral home 4:00 PM.
