ROBERT J. PROKAY

ROBERT J. PROKAY, age 57. Devoted father of Alec; cherished brother of Cheryl Lew (Terry), Cynthia Cales (Michael), Stephanie Osborne (Michael), and Christine Prokay; loving son of Emery and Marilyn (nee Bindokas-deceased); dear uncle of Brian, Kelly, Shannon, Nicole, Michelle, Patrick, Shaina, Maegan, Samantha, Nathaniel, and Gabriel; caring great uncle of Weston and Avery; former husband of Deborah.

Please allow me to introduce myself. I'm a man of wealth and taste - Rolling Stones.

Born to loving parents Marilyn and Emery Prokay on June 17th,1964, Robert grew up in Brunswick, OH, with his four sisters.

He wrestled and played high school football at Brunswick. He married Deborah in 1990, and the pair traveled the world for five years. Bob developed a passion for adventure before becoming a devoted father to his son Alec in 1995. He began his professional career as an electrician for United Airlines and ended his career at Ford Motors.

Golf was his favorite pastime, and he hit the links with family, friends, and a can of Busch Light. He relished being Uncle Bob, sometimes Uncle Boob, and didn’t mind being the butt of the joke, especially when it interrupted his sisters’ bickering. Bob had an infectiously positive attitude, and between the laughs and the long talks, he cared and offered support to anyone who needed it.

Bob died on November 8, 2021, in the arms of his loving family from complications after a fall. Robert Prokay will be remembered as a man who loved his family, golf, and most importantly, his son Alec.
