RALPH A. PFINGSTEN age 81. Beloved husband of Joan (nee Myers). Loving father of Laura J. Weber (Jack) and Erik A. Pfingsten (Heather). Cherished grandfather of Alexandra and Bexley Pfingsten. Dear brother of Harry Pfingsten (deceased) (Hetty), Earle Pfingsten, and Joanne Germuska (Dick).
Ralph was a person who loved having a goal or working on a task. He loved the research of writing and editing all of his books, especially looking for salamanders in every county in Ohio, and looking for a special picture that no one had seen before. He loved all the tasks at the Railway Museum; cutting the grass, recycling leftover parts, and sorting donated books to be sold in the museum store.
Ralph loved his daughter and son. He displayed everything they made for him and was so proud of what they accomplished. He loved his granddaughters. He loved his friends, and all the times telling stories and laughing together about silly jokes or how everyone was really enjoying retirement.
Please celebrate a life that touched so many.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Ralph's memory are suggested to the Northern Ohio Railway Museum at trainweb.org/norm or the Nature Conservancy at support.nature.org.
A Celebration of Ralph's Life will be planned at a later date. Arrangements by the A. RIPEPI AND SONS FUNERAL HOME, 18149 BAGLEY RD., MIDDLEBURG HTS. (WEST OF I-71).
