MICHELLE M. YACOVELLA age 62. Beloved mother of David Karn, Jr. (Natalie) and Anthony Karn. Cherished grandmother of Dylan, Anthony, Jr., Dominic, Austin and David Karn, III. Dear daughter of the late Anthony and Nancy Yacovella. Dearest sister of Stephen Yacovella and Cynthia Brown (Daniel). Cherished aunt, cousin and friend of many.
Michelle preferred to go by her nickname of Shelly. Above all, Shelly loved her role as Nana to her five grandsons and as Mom to her two sons and her daughter-in-law. She adored them and devoted her life to them. Shelly was willing to drop everything to help them with anything they needed. She enjoyed having her grandsons sleepover, teaching them how to cook and bake, taking them on outings, and making a big show about all of their milestones. Prior to becoming a Nana, Shelly proudly worked as an LPN for 15 years in several area nursing homes. Shelly was a cherished close friend of Tom Janecko and her “second mother” Betty Mead, both of whom provided much care and support to her. Shelly loved the color purple, going to the beach, being outside in the sunshine, attending Cleveland Indians games, and spoiling her grandsons. She was kind, thoughtful, and incredibly generous of both her time and in gifts. We love you to the moon and back, and around and around again, never ending. The loss is immeasurable but so is the love left behind.
