MARY ANN (Gallipoli) RIMKE

MARY ANN RIMKE (nee Gallipoli) age 90. Beloved wife of the late Vernon. Loving mother of Deborah Zirker (Charles), Linda Kohout (Daniel), Sandra Balaga (Larry) and Mary Jo. Cherished grandmother of Carla Humble (Gary), Lori, Todd Rimke (Anne), Kevin Kohout (Vasilija), Jason Kohout and Joshua Balaga (Michelle) and great grandmother of Garrett, Bradey, Jack, Avery, Jake, Lily, Willow, Nicholas, Noah, William, Michael, Marisa and Daniel. Dearest daughter of the late Richard and Josephine Gallipoli. Dear sister of Joseph Gallipoli (Ellen) and Helen Clark (James). Fur grandma to grand dog Luigi and great grand dog Rocco & Lexi. Loving aunt, great aunt, cousin and friend to many.

Mary Ann passed away on Monday, November 22 surrounded by the love and comfort of her family. She was a true miracle and 90 years wasn’t long enough with the precious angel named Mary Ann. Anyone that encountered Mary Ann loved her instantly. Her quick wit, sense of humor and loving spirit is one that will be greatly missed. 

Her greatest joy in life was her family. At the top of her list were her 4 beauties. Whether it was pajama parties, girl trips, outings or just being together, these are the times she loved. Her son-in- laws who were so special and her Chuck who she always said was her son. Then came her grandchildren and great grandchildren who she absolutely adored!

She cherished her time with her cousins, dearest friends and let’s not leave out her Golden Girls!  “Mary Ann as Blanche, Aunt Rachel as Rose and Aunt Jean as Dorothy”. She loved her trips, Amish country, dining out and her Italian cooking was par to none.

A special Thank You to Mr. John Coury and the caring staff at North Park Care Center, with special thanks to Theresa, Debbie, Erin, Linda, Helen, Grace, Tracy, Henrietta, Kelly, Amanda, Cora, Lacey and Olivia for their compassion and kindness. And to our Debbie & Chuck who we couldn't have done this journey without.

Mary Ann will be deeply missed. She is now at peace and is in heaven looking down on us and cheering us with an Amaretto Sour! Until we meet again…

A Mass of Christian Burial, Mary Queen of the Apostles Parish, Saturday November 27, 2021 at 9:30 AM (PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH) Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends received (PER THE FAMILIES REQUREST, MASKS ARE REQURIED) Friday 4 – 8 PM at the A. RIPEPI AND SONS FUNERAL HOME, 18149 BAGLEY ROAD, MIDDLEBURG HEIGHTS, OH (West of I-71).
