LUNGEE G. DY, MD., age 88. Longtime Physician at Parma Community Hospital. Beloved husband of Susan (nee Ptak). Loving father of Mary Teresa “Terri” Sivik (Matthew) and Lisa Dy-D’Uvo (Stephen); step-father of John Belko and Danette Wolodzko (Timothy). Cherished grandfather of Amanda Westfall (Jacob), Steven Sivik, Liliana and Lena D’Uvo, Emily and McKenzie Evon, Annie and Audrey Wolodzko. Dear brother of Socorro, Ah Knu and the following deceased; Quim Pong, Consuelo Dy Chu Ti, Po Ti, Ah Chiea and Wan Du. Dear brother in law of Mary Ellen Nagy. Best friend “Brod” of the late Dr. Don Asuncion. Also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, many dear friends especially his cherished friends Pat and Dan Mazzella, Dr. Phil and Marie Blitz, Ivana Guiterrez and Dawn Molnar. Former husband of Eileen Fitzpatrick. Dr. Dy was born in Fujien China. He immigrated to the Philippines and in his youth later graduated from the University of Philippines Manila College Of Medicine. Before starting his practice in Parma, Ohio, he served his residency in Cincinnati, Denver and Montreal. Dr. Dy was on the staff of Parma Community Hospital until his retirement in 1993. In retirement he enjoyed travel, loved to walk and exercise and enjoy the beauty of his own backyard. He had great joy attending the many events for his grandchildren and step grandchildren. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 6100 Rockside Road, Suite 445, Independence, Ohio 44131. Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday October 22, 2019 St. John Neumann Church, 16271 Pearl Road at 10:00AM. Entombment Holy Cross Cemetery. The family will receive friends MONDAY 4 – 8 PM at the A. RIPEPI & SONS FUNERAL HOME, 18149 BAGLEY ROAD, MIDDLEBURG HEIGHTS (WEST OF I-71).
