LUCA “LUKE” ROSATI, November 9, 1928 – October 30, 2023. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of sixty-four years, Dee. Luke was a United States Army veteran who trained fellow soldiers as a tank instructor in Fort Knox Kentucky. Following his father, he became a barber and owned Luke’s Barbershop where he enjoyed sixty years cutting hair, telling jokes, and finding life-long friends.
In later years Luke could be found at the Brooklyn Senior Center where he was appreciated for his willingness to help in any way, and of course, for his sense of humor.
Dad, you will always be remembered for your generous heart and for your dedication to your family (especially our mom), friends and customers. You were seen as a father figure to many – always willing to offer a word of encouragement, lend a hand with a project, or simply share a joke. Thank you for giving yourself so freely for the benefit of us all. We will miss you always.
Luke is survived by his children, John (Karin), Lynn Marie (Philip), Lee Ann (Bob), and Jim (Marcia). His nine grandchildren, John Mathew, Jenyth, Elizabeth, Luke, Kimberly, Jillian, Jonathan, Jessica Ashley, and Angelina. His seven great grandchildren, Julien, Santino, Vincenzo, Cole, Quinn, Ford, and London. And his Sister's Nina Davies (Ivor, deceased), and Rose Marie Gross (Ed).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Luke's memory to the Brooklyn Senior Center via The City of Brooklyn.
A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Thomas More Church, 4170 N. Amber Drive, Brooklyn, Ohio at 10:00 AM on Friday November 10, 2023.
The family will receive friends THURSDAY, November 9th, 2023 from 4-7 PM at the A. RIPEPI AND SONS FUNERAL HOME, 18149 BAGLEY ROAD, MIDDLEBURG HEIGHTS, OH (West of I-71).
