JEROME "JERRY" ROHR age 92. Beloved husband of the late Catherine "Kitty" Rohr (nee Kelly). Loving father of Mary Beth Schram, Deborah Schermaier (Gerhard), Kimberly Gaugler (Chris) and Kenneth Rohr (Darcy). Cherished grandfather of Megan Gaugler (Kelvin), Mackenzie Gaugler, Jeremy Gaugler, Caitlyn Gaugler, Magdelena Schermaier, Daniel Schermaier (Annika), Adriana Schermaier, Zachary Rohr (Hannah), Alexander Rohr, Matthew Schram, Collin Schram and Nicole Schram. Dear brother of the late Sr. Jane Rohr, SMD and Edward Rohr. Jerry was a U.S. Army Korean War Veteran.
“Love begins at home, and it is not how much we do...but how much love we put in that action.” This quote by St. Teresa of Calcutta, sums up Jerry’s life. He dedicated his life to creating a nurturing home for his family filled with love and laughter. He was the consummate husband to his soulmate Kitty and the perfect father to their children Mary Beth, Debbie, Kim, and Ken. He taught them selflessness by caring for and helping everyone, without wanting or expecting anything for himself. He was a source of inspiration and guidance, always ready to comfort or help. His love for his children and his grandchildren was evident in the countless sacrifices he made to ensure their happiness and success.
Jerry was a man of remarkable character and faith, exemplifying integrity and resilience. He never complained, and he found joy in the simple pleasures of life. Whether he was cooking, gardening, refinishing furniture, helping with homework, fixing something in the house, or playing games, he did it with love and attention to detail. He never wanted to be the center of attention, yet his warm smile and endearing sense of humor were captivating and drew people to him. In his presence, you knew you were loved. That is his legacy.
