JAMES HARMUTH Obituary

JAMES "JAMIE" HARMUTH age 54. Beloved husband of Roxanne (nee De Luca). Beloved father of Alexandria Harmuth (Puneet Patel) and Dalton Harmuth (Jackie). Cherished grandfather of Ezikiel Harmuth. Dear son of George and Elizabeth Harmuth and brother of George Harmuth (Renee). Son-in-Law of Rocco and Ginger De Luca and brother-in-law of Charisse Honsberger (Jim), Annette Saco, Gina Belknap (Wally) and Pete De Luca. Uncle, cousin and friend of many.

Jamie was a master bullshitter and ball buster. Jamie always made it his goal to make someone smile or laugh everyday. He was so proud to come home and tell his wife the joke that made his coworker or a stranger crack a smile. He always had a fishing pole in his truck so he could stop to fish on his way home if he had a hard day at work. He cherished the fishing trips he took with his father and his son to Canada, adored his mother’s baking, talking shit with his daughter, he found his joy being a Papa to his grandson, and most of all, he truly loved his wife.

Jamie liked talking, camping, grilling out, frying turkeys, and enjoyed everyone’s company. He was a family man. He always signed up to be the kid’s soccer coach. He told the team they didn’t have to run laps if they beat him in a race, but no matter how far of a head start he gave he always beat them. He loved to organize and reorganize his garage. You could always see him cutting the grass or working on his truck in the driveway. If he drove by and saw you outside he would always stop to say hi. If you weren’t outside he would honk the horn as he drove by, as many of you know.

Jamie and his wife both loved their breakfast dates, searching new places for the best country fried steak and biscuits & gravy. Whenever he would be asked how he wanted his eggs he would say “laid”. He got a kick out of that joke. Jamie was the type of man who drove all over the country to help his kids and to visit old friends. He would give you the shirt off his back and help anyone at the drop of a hat. There are so many words to describe him (insert here). Jamie had many layers of greatness and would go to war for anyone he loved. He liked to play the tough guy but he was a Gentle Giant. I hope all of you can come and share the Jamie you knew with us, but you can’t bullshit a bullshitter, so we will compare notes.

Thank you, we appreciate your help through this difficult time.
