JAMES CARLSON Obituary

Jim was loved by all who knew him. He had a way with people and made them feel welcome and valued. Friends were family to him. He could light up a room with his charm and bring laughter with his storytelling. Helping others was always on his agenda and he would seriously give you the shirt off his back. Everywhere he went was like a party as he loved life and brought happiness to those around him. He was crazy about his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

They adored him and had so much fun with him. Trips to Disney World, golf cart rides, staying up all night watching cartoons, fishing, building balloon powered cars, birthday parties, weddings, baptisms, births, these are just some of the enjoyable times he spent with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He will be missed most by his family. Jim was married nearly 60 years to Norma and they shared a love that has been a great example of strength and loyalty. Children: Jimmy, Chrissy (husband Brian) and Jonny (wife Sarah) have all felt great love from their dad. Grandchildren: Jacob (wife Liz), Mallory (husband Noah), Rachel (husband Michael), Larissa, Kaitlyn, Kailee and Nathan have been able to grow up with such a great man as their biggest fan. He attended many, many music concerts, plays, and sports events. The great grandchildren: Liam, Laurel, Cade, Callen, Gideon, Jonah, and Jax were such a joy for him to encounter. Each one uniquely very dear to him as he would hold them tight and play on the floor with them. Many other family and friends have been so incredibly special to him. Too many to list as he was such an admired man and became bonus grandpa to many.
