GEORGENE F. JOYNT (nee Stark), age 91. Beloved wife of Paul Sr for 68 years; devoted mother of Paul Jr. (Ella), Pamela Clucas (Jeffrey), Patrice Sauve, Pala Suver (Bart) and Patricia Karns (Brad); cherished grandmother of 12 and great grandmother of 8; dear sister of Helen Andrews, James Stark, Allan Stark and the late Catherine Stark, George Stark, Arliss Cupak, Charles Stark, Freida Stark and Thomas Stark.
She was a dedicated, loving, and proud wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, and great grandmother who was happiest surrounded by her ever-growing family. She happily attended all birthday parties, sporting events, concerts, dance recitals, and graduations of her beloved children and grandchildren. With 5 children, 12 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren, her calendar was seldom empty. She was kind and loving to everyone she knew and opened her heart and home to many. Anyone she touched with her loving spirit would tell you she was a truly special and inspiring person. She was attentive to all and shared stories of her children and grandchildren to everyone she met.
Her family is grateful to have had the pleasure of being raised and supported by such a truly wonderful woman. She loved them “a bushel and a peck” and they wouldn’t have had it any other way. Over the years she loved to travel and went to many amazing places. Her and her loving husband took their children on many cross-country trips and gave them lifelong memories and experiences that they look back fondly on. Post retirement, they spent winters in Fort Myers with many friends and visitors. She had the opportunity of visiting the Holy Lands of Medjugorje, Bosnia and Lourdes, Portugal and she spoke of those trips often. She was a devout Catholic and member of Holy Family church for over 65 years. She was an active member of both the Alter and Rosary Society and Ministry of consolation for many years. She was a remarkable cook and loved to prepare all her family’s favorite meals, desserts and treats with much love. She was cheerful and had a talkative spirit and her smile and laughter will be fondly remembered. The world is a little less bright without her, but everyone she touched will carry her spirit.
