DREGALLA
Edward Dregalla, 87, of Surprise AZ, went home to be with our Lord on August 11, 2018 after batting the aftereffects from a cerebral hemorrhage while visiting his family.
He graduated from John Marshall High School in Cleveland Ohio. Ed was active in sports as a member of the varsity football team and placing third in the State Championship in wrestling. He went on to graduate from Valparaiso University with a degree in mechanical engineering. Ed was a member and president of the Theta Chi fraternity, joined the Chapel Choir and Engineers Club.
After graduation from Valparaiso, he worked for General Electric and then moved to Philadelphia to take a position at International Resistor Company (IRC) which was later acquired by TRW electronics. He finished his career as an executive with MRC Bearing in Jamestown, NY and retired from TRW.
Upon retirement, he started a business as a Manufacturer’s Representative which carried the Rollway Bearing line of products in multiple states until fully retiring to play golf. He was a resident of the The Colonnade in Surprise Arizona up until his passing.
Ed was always passionate about helping others and volunteered his time with SCORE as a mentor to businesses in the Prescott, AZ area and surrounding cities. For years Ed also delivered meals to senior’s homes for Benevilla in the Surprise and Sun City communities.
Ed was a member of Lord of Life Lutheran Church in Sun City West. He had a love for Jesus, family, friends, golf and sailing. His weekends were often spent singing in the church choir and having fellowship with friends. Ed was full of life and will be dearly missed.
Proceeding him in death were his parents, Oscar and Anna Dregalla; his wife Delores (Bachman) Dregalla and his brother Earl Dregalla.
Surviving are his son, Michael Dregalla; brother, James Dregalla; grandchildren Skye Peterson, Ryan Dregalla, Amber Dregalla, Clint Dregalla and Parker Dregalla; and a great grandchild, Hayden Dregalla.
There will be a private service at St Paul Lutheran Church in Berea, Ohio and a service to be scheduled in September at the Lord of Life Lutheran Church in Sun City West, Arizona followed by a private inurnment.
