DOROTHY R. (Lock) MASEK

DOROTHY R. MASEK (nee Lock) age 92. Beloved wife of 72 years to Lawrence Sr. Loving mother of Lawrence Jr. (Marilyn), Christine Perry (James), Ronald (Kay), and the late Susan Coughlin. Cherished grandmother of Lawrence III (Joyce), Stephanie Childress (Michael), Laurie Streszoff (Jeff), Edward Perry (Becky), Lauren, Ronald Jr, Kevin Coughlin, Jr (Venessa), Daniel Coughlin (Audrey), Clare Kinzel (Jeremy) and Great Grandmother of 14. Dear sister of Richard, Robert, Ronald, James, Gerald and the late Fred, Charles, Jeannette, Patricia, Joanne, William, and David. Aunt and great aunt of many.

Dorothy earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from St. John’s College in Cleveland and a Master’s Degree in Education from Baldwin-Wallace College all while raising her four loving children in Brooklyn, Ohio. After graduate school she taught grades four, six, and eight for 28 years at St. Thomas More until retirement. 

She always cherished time spent with family during the holidays and birthdays at their home. During retirement Dorothy and Lawrence loved vacationing, traveling on cruises, and fishing for Lake Trout and Walleye in Canada with family and dear friends. She will be greatly missed by everyone’s life she touched.

Mass of Christian Burial, St. Thomas More Church, Tuesday May 11, 2021 at 10:00 AM. (EVERYONE MEET AT CHURCH) Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends received (with Masks and Social Distancing) Monday 3 – 8 PM at the A. RIPEPI AND SONS FUNERAL HOME, 18149 BAGLEY ROAD, MIDDLEBURG HEIGHTS, OH (West of I-71).
