Cheryl Ann (Terlop) Hanzel

CHERYL ANN HANZEL “Cherie” (nee Terlop) passed away peacefully on November 5, 2023. Dearest daughter of Shirley Terlop and the late Russell Terlop; devoted wife of Joseph Hanzel; Cherished mother of Dawn Osborne (James), Chelsie Combs (Nick), Joe Hanzel (Gabby), Charles King, Chasity King, and Stanley King; Cherie was blessed and adored by 14 grandchildren, known as their “Momo”; loving sister of Russ Terlop (Johanna), Darrell Terlop (Fran), Pete Terlop (Advia), and Jean Haussman (deceased). Dear aunt and friend of many, especially Karen Mamick.

Cherie dedicated her life to her family. Her grandchildren were her world. She has a passion for cooking, but baking brought her joy. She was an avid sports fan, who looked forward to football and baseball season. She also loved to sit in her yard to feed and talk to her deer.

Cherie, you taught us love, generosity, kindness, and how to have fun in everything we do. We will miss you! Until we meet again, we’ll continue your legacy.

A Memorial Service will be held 6:00 pm, Thursday, November 16, 2023 at the funeral home. The family will receive friends THURSDAY 4 – 6 PM  at the A. RIPEPI AND SONS FUNERAL HOME, 18149 BAGLEY ROAD, MIDDLEBURG HEIGHTS, OH (West of I-71).
