VILMA V. FADER (nee Mazl), age 88. Vilma Virginia Fader (Mazl), 88 of Parma, Ohio, passed away on February 27, 2018.

Vilma was born in Reading, PA on May 3, 1929. She graduated from Wyomissing High School in 1947.  She moved with her Mother to Parma, Ohio where she met Richard Fader a few years later and they were married on July 7, 1951. Vilma worked at The May Company for almost 30 years first in telephone sales and then as a telephone operator making many friends along the way.  Vilma and Richard retired early and spent summers in Fort Myers Beach, Florida golfing, shelling and soaking up the sun. They also liked to travel and on a trip to Prague, Vilma was able to meet extended family for the first time.  Richard and Vilma were married 55 years until Richard passed away on March 3, 2006.   Vilma also enjoyed gardening, puzzles, bingo and seeing her kids, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Vilma is also survived by her sister-in-law Joan Fryzel and her children (Gayle, Jeff, and Jimmy). The family of Vilma Fader wishes to thank Shurmer Place and their staff for the excellent care during the last 4 years of her life. 

Beloved wife of the late Richard “Dick”. Loving mother of Christine Pankuch (Bill), William Fader (Gail) and Lynn Caiazza (Craig, “Hector”). Cherished grandmother of Holly Clark (Darin), Ashley Pankuch, Bill Fader (Kelly), Trisha Malloy (Mark), Adam Fader, Dante and Inis Caiazza. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to Shurmer Place, 18627 Shurmer Road, Strongsville, Ohio 44136 in memory of Vilma Fader. Celebration of Life Service Thursday May 17, 2018 at the funeral home 7:00PM. Final resting place Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. The family will receive friends THURSDAY MAY 17, 2018 from 5 – 7 PM at the A. RIPEPI & SONS FUNERAL HOME, 18149 BAGLEY ROAD, MIDDLEBURG HEIGHTS (WEST OF I-71).
