ROBERT JAMES IVANCIC age 67. Beloved husband of Norma (nee Yuhasz). Loving son of the late Frank and Virginia.  Dear brother of Richard (Diane), Thomas (Tina) and Edward (Mary). Dearest brother in law of Barbara Link. Dear uncle of Jennifer, Dawn and Eddie, Jr. Ivancic and Wendy Herdon. 

Bob was a lifelong Cleveland area resident. He graduated from Cleveland Marshall College of Law and worked throughout his career as a arbitrator on labor topics and related human resource issues. He was the former Director of Human Resources at Hillcrest Hospital before moving to the same Director's position at the Cleveland Clinic, where he led the HR department from 1991 - 2004. Robert also served for many years as a board member for the Cleveland Metroparks System. 

He currently was the President of the Board of Directors of the Altenheim Assisted Senior Living. In addition, he as an adjunct professor at Baldwin-Wallace University where he lectured on Employee and Labor Relations topics.

Bob, a member of Mensa, was an avid reader whose favorite subjects were history and politics and when asked, would gladly share his thoughts on both.  He was also a movie buff who loved science fiction movies and westerns.  For recreation, he enjoyed golfing, winning, organizing fantasy sports leagues, winning, suffering through the tortured Cleveland sports legacies, and winning. Bob enjoyed weekly dinners with his brothers that were always filled with great laughs and where lifelong memories were made. He was the definition of a "GREAT BROTHER."

Bob had a love for animals and he always had a dog or two to spoil and pamper. But most of all, Bob was the loving and devoted husband to his wife Norma.  Married 37 years, he enjoyed spending as much time with her as possible. There were the ideal couple who cared deeply for each other. 

Bob was a true gentleman, husband, brother, uncle and friend to many. He wull be missed by all who had the pleasure to know him. 

Funeral services at the funeral home Friday March 2, 2018 at 10:00 AM. Interment Calvary Cemetery. Friends received Thursday 2 – 4 & 6 – 8 PM at the A. RIPEPI AND SONS FUNERAL HOME, 18149 BAGLEY ROAD, MIDDLEBURG HEIGHTS, (WEST OF I-71)
