LIVINGSTON ULF Obituary

LIVINGSTON HUNTER ULF, age 85, died on Monday, January 6, 2020 in Cleveland Heights, Ohio.  He was known as Terry by his family and friends.  He was a long time resident of Bratenahl, Ohio and he recently resided at Judson Senior Living, Reinberger Courts.

Terry was born in Cleveland, Ohio on June 4, 1934 to Dorothy Hunter Ulf and Marshall Wendell Ulf.  He was a graduate of University School in Shaker Heights, Ohio.  He received degrees from Yale University and Columbia Business School.  In 1956 he entered the US Army and served for two years in Germany. Terry spent many years as a senior Trust Officer at Ameritrust.  He was a lifetime member of Fairmont Presbyterian Church and served as a deacon there.  He was a long time member of The Hermit Club.

Terry devoted most of his time and energy in his adult years to Cleveland Seamen's Service Inc. a non-profit group formed to welcome and assist seamen from visiting ships at the city port.  He was a past President and former Trustee.  Terry was an accomplished pianist and also played the accordion.  His entire life he loved all things musical.

Terry is survived by his sister Dorothy Ulf Mayer of Richmond, VA, and her sons Henry Hamilton Mayer III and Thomas Shannon Mayer, both of Richmond.  His sister in law Nancy C Ulf of Lebanon, NH, and her children Marshall Hunter Ulf Jr. of North Pomfrit, VT and Nancy Ulf Woolever of Morganton, NC.  He is predeceased by his parents and his brother Marshall (Tom) Hunter Ulf. 

All services will be private. Arrangements by the A. RIPEPI AND SONS FUNERAL HOME, 18149 BAGLEY RD., MIDDDLEBURG HEIGHTS (WEST OF I-71).
