CYNTHIA HELMS (nee George), age 60. Devoted mother of Eric (Jen), Renee McPherson (Shane), Amber, Katherine, Emily, and Jesse (Leslie); cherished grandmother of Dylan, Elise, Kaylyn, Henry, Abraham, and Oliver; caring sister of Joseph George III (Dona); dear daughter of the late Joseph and Mary George.

Throughout her entire health trial and with greater intensity the last several days, my family has felt an outpouring of love for our sweet Mother, Cindy Helms. This love serves as a bold testimony to the world of a life well lived.  She was cherished by many through a colorful array of relationships-mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, wife and friend but the relationship that overshadowed all others was her relationship with the Lord. The foundation of her legacy was anchored directly to the rock of Jesus Christ. This legacy was demonstrated in her most holy vocation as a Homemaker, her dedication as a Sunday School Teacher and a Jones Home Mentor to hundreds of at risk girls. She has shown all of us that our God will truly never leave us or forsake us. She has exemplified how to honor God while suffering and still proclaim with every breath that He is good.

Funeral services 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 17, 2018 at the funeral home. Interment Sunset Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends FRIDAY 2-4 AND 6-8 PM at the A. RIPEPI & SONS FUNERAL HOME, 18149 BAGLEY ROAD, MIDDLEBURG HEIGHTS (WEST OF I-71).
