BETTY KAVANDER  (nee King), age 85, Born March 16, 1933 and passed away December 31, 2018.   Beloved wife of the late Carl Kavander, and the late Borus Gerus.  Mother to David (Dana) and Janice and grandmother to Eric and Samantha. Dearest daughter of the late Mildred Marie Brown and James Merton King. Sister to the late Marian (Don) Glasgow and the late Mildred “Millie” King. Aunt Betty to many nieces and nephews. Betty was a graduate of Austintown Fitch High School and Baldwin Wallace College.  She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Berea for over fifty years, where she was a Stephen Minister, a member of the Alpha Z Delta sorority and a member of the local Red Hat Society.  Betty was a retired North Royalton High School business teacher and traveled extensively after retirement.  Betty loved going out to eat with her many friends and family.  Services will be private.  Donations may be made to the United Methodist Church of Berea or a charity of your choice in her memory.  Arrangements entrusted to the A. RIPEPI & SONS FUNERAL HOME, 18149 BAGLEY ROAD, MIDDLEBURG HEIGHTS (WEST OF I-71).
